On the App Store nine days before iPhone Duo
Made for iPhone Duo
Rev Rush 1.3.0 · 14 October 2026 · iPhone Duo, iPad and iPhone · free update
Rev Rush 1.3.0 reached the App Store on 14 October 2026 — nine days before iPhone Duo goes on sale on 23 October. That makes it one of the first games in the world built for Apple's foldable iPhone. Whoever unboxes an iPhone Duo on day one finds the game already at home on both of its displays, in every way the phone can be held. The same update brings portrait play to iPad and iPhone Duo and scales the whole game to big screens.
Ready nine days early. Apple opened the App Store to iPhone Duo apps on 5 October. Rev Rush 1.3.0 was built with Xcode 27.1, every screen of the game was checked in every pose of the phone, and the update was live on 14 October — before the first iPhone Duo reaches its owner.
- 9 days before iPhone Duo goes on sale
- 2 displays, one ride
- 5 ways to hold an iPhone Duo, each with its own layout
- 0 buttons on the fold
- 1.6× the whole game on a 13-inch iPad
- 54 garage colours on iPad and iPhone Duo
Two displays, one ride
Closed, iPhone Duo is a phone, and Rev Rush plays on its outer display just as it does on any iPhone. The camera sits along one edge only, so the buttons and cards keep clear of that edge and use the rest of the screen.
Open it and the game fills the large inner display — no black bars and no stretched pixels. The world, the rider and every button are laid out for the bigger screen.
Open or close the phone mid-ride and the run pauses. Nobody can time a jump while folding a phone, so the game doesn't ask you to: it stops, waits on the other display with the world exactly where it was, and carries on when you tap. Nothing is lost — not the score, not a shield.
Half-open: nothing on the fold
Half-open, iPhone Duo has a fold running through the middle of its inner display. Rev Rush reads where the fold is and keeps every button, card and line of text off it. Only the ride crosses it — a jump is a tap anywhere.
Like a book
Held like a book, the fold runs from top to bottom. The menu splits around it — Store and Teleport on the left page, Leaderboard on the right — and the title, the pause card and the game-over card move to the right-hand page, where they will still be when you close the phone. The store, Teleport and the Premium offer open like a spread, with a gap where the fold runs and items on both pages. In the garage the colours split across the two pages; on the leaderboard the podium stands on the left and the list runs down the right.
Like a laptop
Stood on a table like a laptop, the fold runs across. The bottom half lies on the table and is for your fingers: the menu, the cards, the store and the garage's colours all fit below the fold. The top half faces you and is for your eyes: the title, and on the leaderboard the podium.
Portrait on iPad and iPhone Duo
Turn an iPad or an open iPhone Duo upright and the game turns with you. The sky grows taller and the title grows with it. The garage and the leaderboard have layouts of their own for portrait: the podium stands across the top with the list underneath, and the two garage bays sit side by side under a computer on the wall that shows this website, above a palette split into two blocks so that every colour is almost twice as wide.
On iPhone the game stays in landscape: a phone held upright is too narrow for a track worth riding.
The same game on every screen
Until 1.3, an iPad drew Rev Rush at phone size: small buttons in the middle of a big screen, store labels you had to lean in to read, and a screen 1,376 points wide where an iPhone's is 874 — more track in view, and an easier game on the same global leaderboard.
Now the whole game — world, rider, buttons and text — is laid out for a screen about 620 points tall and then scaled up to fill the display: 1.6× on a 13-inch iPad, a little over 1× on the open iPhone Duo. In landscape every big screen now shows 860 to 945 points of track across, close to the iPhone's 874, so the podium compares the same game. The pixel art is drawn at the final resolution, so it stays sharp at any scale.
Steel in the garage
iPad and iPhone Duo get three more colours: light, true and dark steel, in a column of their own next to the greys — 54 colours in all, against 51 on iPhone. A bike painted in steel shows in its true colours on every podium and on every device, because the leaderboard stores the colours themselves and not a place in the palette.
The garage and its paint shop come with Premium.
A gold title
On every device, iPhone included, the title screen now carries the game's full name under the logo — Pixel Moto Runner — in gold foil, with a glint that crosses it every few seconds. Each language shows the name the game has in its own App Store.
How it was checked
Every screen of the game — title, ride, pause, game over, store, Teleport, Premium, garage and leaderboard — was captured on the closed and the open phone, in landscape and portrait, half-open like a book and like a laptop, and in portrait on iPad: more than a hundred screenshots per pass. The layout was corrected until nothing sat on the fold, under the camera edge or outside the screen. Each build was then installed and played on an iPhone, so that on iPhone the only visible change is the new gold title.

Questions
Does Rev Rush support iPhone Duo?
Yes. Version 1.3.0, released on 14 October 2026, plays on both displays of iPhone Duo, pauses the run when you open or close the phone mid-ride, and keeps every button off the fold when the phone is half-open.
When did iPhone Duo support arrive?
On 14 October 2026, nine days before iPhone Duo goes on sale on 23 October 2026.
Can I play in portrait?
Yes, on iPad and on an open iPhone Duo. On iPhone the game stays in landscape.
Is the game easier on a bigger screen?
No. Since version 1.3.0 the game scales with the screen, so an iPad or an iPhone Duo shows almost the same stretch of track as an iPhone, and the global leaderboard compares the same game.
Is the update free?
Yes. Support for iPhone Duo and iPad is part of the free game for every player. The three steel colours are in the garage, which comes with Premium.
How do I get it?
Update Rev Rush from the App Store. Version 1.3.0 needs iOS 15 or later, like the versions before it.
